Township Election – March 2022

Results & Summary

The annual Township Election was held on March 8, 2022 in the Town Hall (Resolution 11-03-21-1) located at 16881 Queens Road, Avon (MN). In this election (legal notice), residents voted for two Supervisors (one for a three-year term and one for a one-year term), and one Clerk for a two-year term. Affidavits of Candidacy were filed by Kelly Martini, and Stephen Saupe.  The pre-test and Public Accuracy tests (legal notice) were performed prior to the election.

  • Sample ballots for Precinct 1 and  Precinct 2 were available.
  • Resolutions Appointing Election Judges (Resolution 01-05-22-1) (Resolution 02-02-22-1) (Resolution 03-02-22-1) and the Absentee Ballot Board (Resolution 01-05-22-2)
  • Residents of Avon Township voted to elect LeRoy Gondringer for Supervisor for a three-year term (2022 – 2025) and LeRoy Gondringer for Supervisor for a one-year term (2022 - 2023).  Stephen Saupe was elected to a two-year term as Clerk (2022 – 2024). There were 100 voters or 6.7 % of registered voters who participated in the election. Thanks especially to our election judges – Deb Angulski, Margie Evens, Duane Fasen, Marion Gondringer, Jay Hedlund, Sue Rushmeyer and Marlene Haider (Head Judge).  The election judges deserve special thanks for their service during a pandemic.
