Township Election Results - Congratulations to Craig Blonigen who was elected to a three-year term as Supervisor, and Kelly Martini, who was elected to a two-year term as Treasurer at the Annual Township election on Tuesday, March 11,.
District 742 School Election - will be held April 8, from 7 AM - 8 PM in the Avon Township Hall.
The Local Board of Appeals & Equalization (LBAE) Meeting for Avon Township will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 6 PM. (legal)
Snow Issues - Residents are reminded that it is illegal to put snow stakes or other posts in the Township road right-of-way. This is necessary because the wing of the plow needs to push snow back from the road. The property owner is liable for any damage to plow equipment. The Township is not liable for damage to any stakes or posts placed in the road right-of-way. Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to push or blow snow on the road.
Work in the Township Road Right-of-Way (ROW) - The ROW for most Township properties extends 93 from the centerline of the road (except in more densely populated areas (i.e., around lakes, Parkwood Circle). Anyone planning to do work in the ROW should first alert the Supervisors (Utilities please note the Township ROW Policy.; Residents see March 2025 minutes)..
Residential trash & recycling services in the Township are available through Waste Management (WM) or West Central Sanitation.

Residents are reminded that: (a) mailboxes and supports must meet standards (link); (b) anyone who collects roadside trash is responsible for its disposal; and (c) pushing or blowing snow or grass clippings onto a Township road is illegal.
